Our Commitment
Halderon & Company is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone. Our website is regularly audited against these standards and we address identified issues as part of our ongoing development process.
Measures Taken
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy throughout all pages.
- ARIA labels and landmarks for all interactive components and navigation regions.
- Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for text).
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements.
- Focus indicators visible on all focusable elements.
- Alternative text for all meaningful images and decorative images marked appropriately.
- Responsive design that supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- Skip navigation links for keyboard users.
- Form labels and error messages clearly associated with their respective fields.
- No content that flashes more than three times per second.
- Video and multimedia content includes captions where applicable.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge the following known limitations:
- Interactive map components (OpenStreetMap) may have limited screen reader support. Text alternatives are provided for all mapped information.
- Some third-party embedded content may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
- PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible; we are working to remediate these.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies: NVDA and JAWS screen readers on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android, and various magnification tools. We test regularly with these technologies as part of our development process.
